Frequently asked questions
Can I drive in Portugal on my foreign licence?
It depends on the issuing country. For OECD and CPLP licences covered by the IMT rules, residents can keep driving without exchanging if they meet the conditions (age, validity and issue date). In other cases you need to apply for an exchange.
