This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies are used on bakerandco.pt, operated by Baker and Co Associates LDA. It applies together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies, such as the browser's local storage (localStorage), work in a similar way.
2. Your choice
On your first visit we show a notice where you can accept all, reject all or customise the optional categories. Optional categories stay off until you consent. You can change your choice at any time via Cookie settings, also in the footer of every page. Your choice is stored for 180 days.
3. Cookies and storage we use
| Name | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
bc_consent | Necessary | Stores your cookie choices. | 180 days |
bc_pop (localStorage) | Necessary | Records that the call-back invitation has been shown, so it does not appear again. | Until you clear it in your browser |
_fbp | Advertising (Meta Pixel) | Set by the Meta Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our ads. Only after you accept advertising cookies. | 90 days |
_fbc | Advertising (Meta Pixel) | Stores the click identifier when you arrive from a Meta ad. Only after you accept advertising cookies. | 90 days |
bc_px_lead (sessionStorage) | Advertising (Meta Pixel) | Holds a random code for a few seconds after you send an enquiry form, so the Meta Pixel counts the enquiry once on the thank-you page. Contains no form data. | Deleted on the next page view (at most 10 minutes) |
Analytics and advertising. We use the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd) to measure our advertising: it records page views and, when you send an enquiry form, one anonymous “Lead” event. It only loads after you accept Advertising in the cookie notice; if you reject, it never loads. We do not send your name, email, phone or form answers to Meta. Meta may also use its own cookies on facebook.com (for example fr) under its own privacy policy (facebook.com/privacy/policy). The site does not currently use analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics).
4. Third-party content
Google Maps only loads when you click “Show map”. From then on, Google may set cookies and collect data under its own privacy policy. Links to WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn take you to third-party sites with their own rules.
5. How to delete cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you delete bc_consent, we will ask for your preferences again.
