About the role

Baker and Co Associates LDA is a management and immigration consultancy with offices in Lisbon and Dubai. We support international clients with visas, residence, company formation and the everyday formalities of settling in Portugal.

We are looking for a lawyer to join our team at our Lisbon office on Av. António Augusto de Aguiar. You will be the legal point of reference for our Portuguese casework: tax numbers, company incorporation, AIMA processes and, where needed, appeals and court proceedings.

This is an office-based position: the work is carried out in person at our Lisbon office, not remotely.

What you will do

Your main responsibilities in the Lisbon team.

Portuguese tax numbers (NIF)Handling NIF applications for clients, including non-resident clients, with the Portuguese tax authority.
Company incorporationIncorporating companies in Portugal, one of our core services: structure, documents, registration and the steps that follow.
AIMA processes and appointmentsAssisting clients with AIMA (Agência para a Integração, Migrações e Asilo) processes and appointments, including rescheduling AIMA appointments and following up on files.
Appeals and court proceedingsPreparing hierarchical appeals (recurso hierárquico) against AIMA decisions and, later on, conducting proceedings before the administrative court in Lisbon.

What we are looking for

  • Registered with the Ordem dos Advogados (Portuguese Bar Association): required
  • Fluent Portuguese and good English, spoken and written
  • Experience in immigration, administrative or corporate law is preferred
  • Available to work in person at our Lisbon office (Av. António Augusto de Aguiar, 24)
  • Organised, precise and comfortable working with international clients
